What is Dialogue if it can not produce a GNU ? Myth demistified .. By Hosia Mviringi Wednesday, 30 October 2019 Zimbabweans have gone through a lot of suffering through an Economy saddled by a plethora of problems chiefly Sanctions and Corruption. As a result desperate solutions have been profered which include among other things Dialogue and a GNU between ZANU PF and the MDC. But question is is dialogue necessary if it can't produce  GNU ? Is a GNU possible under the present circumstances ? Firstly a GNU is not legally possible under the current circumstances because we have a duly elected Parliament with one Party commanding a 2/3 majority.Under such circumstances the Constitution does not provide for an GNU.It will take a very cumbersome process of amending the Constitution first and to establish a Global Political Agreement which may culminate in serious negotiations between political Parties. But such a process can be a slippery slope because it can be successf...
US releases a $5Million War chest to drown the Anti-Sanctions March. .. ...by propagating the Corruption Narrative . Monday , 28 October 2019 By Hosia Mviringi In an effort to water down the recently held SADC anti-sanctions solidarity march, the American Embassy in Zimbabwe released $5 million on 26 October 2019 to online media houses and civil society inorder to run a campaign called # ItsCorruptionNotSanctions . Sources within the civil society revealed the this campaign is meant to eventually mobilise people towards an uprising against Government.  Organizations which benefited are: Citizen Manifesto ($1m), @263Chat( $1.5m), Bustop TV ($1,7m) and the rest will be administered under the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum. This will see an extensive campaign social media campaign as 263Chat and Bustop TV make some street interviews where targeted individuals will be paid to give coached statements denouncing the anti-sanctions march and calling for Pres...
The folly of celebrating Sanctions   : Case for the MDC. Friday, 25 October 2019 By Hosia Mviringi Today the 25th of October 2019 the nation of Zimbabwe participated in the inaugural SADC mandated Solidarity march against US imposed illegal Sanctions. Of interest is the reaction by the MDC party towards the event.Their reaction is apparently informed by the Americans' arrogance and defiance to reason which drives them to resist legitimate calls to remove the ruinous economic embargo. But after going through decades of suffering it would naturally be expected that the people of Zimbabwe will act accordingly and dissociate with the architects of their suffering which is the MDC party. But nay, they do the opposite. It is ironic that after going through two decades of suffering as a result of a regime of ruinous American Sanctions Zimbabweans still celebrate the existence of such. Yes Zimbabweans are hyped as one of the most educated or is it literate African populations ...
October Is Menstrual Health Month . What is Menstrual Health ? Ladies and Gentlemen of the 21st generation. We are a generation which has not had enough time with our elders for some oral life education. Menstrual Health refers to the state of Physical , Mental and Emotional health of a Woman or Girl child during their Monthly   Menstrual Cycle period. I am a man but I care about what happens to my Wife during her menstrual period.I care about what my daughter goes through during her monthly menstrual period.I care about what my sister goes through during her monthly menstrual period. I take concern about what my mother goes through during her monthly period. Yes some will be ashamed to talk about their mother's monthly Menstrual Period. But we are all born of Woman. We are all a product of the same process which we shun talking about. As an enlightened generation we should take responsibility towards what the next important person goes through during their periods ...
LIFE WITHOUT MUGABE : WILL GRACE , G40 and NELSON CHAMISA SURVIVE ? Sunday 29, September 2019, 10.00hours By Hosia Mviringi So the old man has finally been buried. May his soul rest in eternal peace as those left behind feel the vacuum that he left. The decision not to bury Robert Mugabe at the National Heroes Acre will haunt the below noted persons directly more than anyone else. Not even the government nor the President will feel it more than them.  I say so because the citizenry now squarely blame Grace Mugabe for wasting taxpayer's money and thus would definitely demand its recovery. Grace Mugabe Its now beyond any reasonable doubt that the decision to deny Robert Mugabe his rightful place at the National Shrine was Grace's. Driven by uncontrollable spite , Grace Mugabe was so jealousy of having her late husband buried next to his former wife Sally. She knew fully well that she was a villain who misled the African icon in his last days by capturing him throug...
Enter Julius Malema : G40 Game plan unravelled   By Hosia Mviringi Saturday, 28 September 2019 The vanguishing and banishment of the famous and suppossedly powerful clique in Zimbabwean politics, the G40 through the November 2017 "Operation Restore Legacy" has left the ordinary folk with more questions than answers. The major question is whether the G40 is indeed finished or not? If not, what is their game plan? What happened to their ambition to form the next government of Zimbabwe? What is the message from their loud silence? Most of the above questions could not be sufficiently answered until the death of former President Robert Mugabe on 6 September 2019 in Singapore. All signs were pointing to a serene and respectable funeral wake for the liberation icon and pan-Africanist. Leaders and former leaders of the world came and went away without the official burial of the icon. Controversies have surrounded the late former President's funeral culminating in some c...
Respect our Heroes and Heroines : CSCJF Tuesday , 13 August 2019  By Hosia Mviringi Yesterday the nation of Zimbabwe stood still to commemorate the lives of sons and daugters of the soil who gave their lives to liberate the people from the york of slavery. For some few these were lives wasted and mislived ,while to the majority of oppressed citizens it was a priceless sacrifice that culminated in the restoration of the black indigenous people's rights. Today a generation of ungrateful and selfish citizens has advertently propagated itself upon the social and political fabric of this nation.Such is a generation which has failed to appreciate the good deeds and suffering that our forefathers bore to restore our dignity and pride as a people. This is a generation that thinksand reasons by the stomach.Sad isnt it ? Zimbabwe is among a few African nations who had to wage a bloody war of liberation inorder to extricate its people from the grip of colonialism. But regreta...
Minister SB MOYO attacked in London . Friday , 12 July 2019   By Hosia Mviringi . Yes it happened. And very well so that Minister SB Moyo was attacked today at Catham House in the heart of the British Political Capital London. It is common cause that under normal circumstances and in all Diplomatic Protocols and procedures visiting foreign dignitaries are accorded befitting security by the host government. But today in london not even peace corps were seconded both to the Zimbabwean Consulate and at Catham House were Minister SB Moyo was set to make a presentation. Threats of violence by MDC activists in London have been gathering momentum some three weeks back. But still the British government did not think that it was necessary to take some contingency measures to protect a visiting dignitory. It however still remains to be confirmed if the Zimbabwean ambassodor Colonel Christian Katsande had indeed made such a request to the British authorities. If that request was...
The MDC Congress : What it means for ZANU PF Party, Government and the Nation of Zimbabwe . Saturday, 25 May 2019   By Hosia Mviringi On the 24th of May 2019 the MDC Party led by Nelson Chamisa converged at Ascot Stadium in the Midlands city of Gweru for their inaugural Ordinary Congress since the departure from natural causes of its iconic  founding President Mr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai. The background is that before he passed on Mr Morgan Tsvangirai did the unprecedented thing when he unilaterally and unconstitutionally appointed two extra Vice Presidents in addition to the 2014 Congress appointed Thokozani Khupe. This unilateral and unconstitutional appointment gave birth to Chamisa who before then was afar distant in the succession matrix of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU)-backed Party. As a result today Mr Nelson Chamisa within the MDC family represents a Child born out of Wedlock. He is a product of promiscuity. Mr Tsvangirai also made a pact w...
Does Zimbabwe really pose An Extra-Ordinary threat to American Foreign policy ?   By Hosia Mviringi Monday, 01 April 2019. On 6 March 2019 President of the United States Donald J. Trump renewed the twenty year old regime of Economic sanctions on Zimbabwe, citing Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50  U.S.C.1622 (d)). The usual reason was that 'Zimbabwe had not done enough reforms and she still poses an extra-ordinary threat to  American Foreign Policy and interests'. How did it all begin? Lets try to answer a few questions... Is American the true champion of Democracy , human rights and rule of law? Does the American government really care about black lives? ¶ Do Zimbabweans need a whole Sanctions bill called ZDERA to protect them from themselves ? ¶ Is it about safeguarding African democracy and rule of law ? ¶ To what extent does this Sanctions benefit the American people ? ¶ Has Zimbabwe conducted the worst elections world over since the t...
US bars entry to International Criminal Court ( ICC ) investigators   By MATTHEW LEE  15 March 2019   Adapted Article The United States will revoke or deny visas to International Criminal Court personnel seeking to investigate alleged war crimes and other abuses committed by U.S. forces in Afghanistan or elsewhere, and may do the same with those who seek action against Israel, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday. Pompeo, acting on a threat delivered in September by U.S. national security adviser John Bolton, framed the action as necessary to prevent the international body from infringing on U.S. sovereignty by prosecuting American forces or allies for torture or other war crimes. “We are determined to protect the American and allied military and civilian personnel from living in fear of unjust prosecution for actions taken to defend our great nation,” Pompeo said. U.S. officials have long regarded the Netherlands-based ICC with hostility, a...
Fuel Sector Liberalization : What it means to the Ordinary man .  By Hosia Mviringi Wednesday, 13 March 2019. Liberalization of the Fuel sector in particular and the energy sector at large is a major milestone in opening up the Investment environment in Zimbabwe. This is in keeping with the government's pledge to move away from a regulated( controlled ) to a free economy where government ceases to be both player and regulator in industry. This follows hot on  the heels of another milestone in the monetary policy system which saw government floating the exchange rate of the local unit to a near match with parallel market rates. Now the country has a truly free floating currency and a subsequent free economy. For starters this will encourage investment into the economy. If one looks closely, historically Zimbabwe had lagged behind in terms of its share of Foreign Direct Investment inflows  regionwide. The reason is that the country was still practicing primitive eco...

Mugabe Trusts me more : Chamisa

MUGABE TRUSTS ME MORE: CHAMISA Staff Reporter. Sunday, 10 March 2019 In a shocking revelation at a rally in Mutare yesterday, MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa told supporters that he has been working with former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe from last year to remove President Mnangagwa from power. Confirming a rumour that has been doing the rounds in Zimbabwe for over a year about the nature of his secret relationship between the former first family and G40, Chamisa shocked thousands of supporters at Chisamba Grounds in Sakubva when he revealed that Mugabe had long abandoned Zanu-Pf and was now working with him against Mnangagwa. "Mugabe discovered a long time ago that Zanu-Pf was dead, that is why he put his trust in my candidacy during last year's elections. Unfortunately Mnangagwa thought he was clever and stole the election," said Chamisa to a thunderous applause from a crowd of about 3 000 supporters who had gathered for the rally. "If you see a...
National Dialogue : What Dialogue ? Whose Dialogue ?   By Hosia Mviringi . Tuesday, 05March 2019 I write this article today with a heavy heart on the back of the American President Donald Trump having renewed the punitive regime of Economic Sanctions on Zimbabwe under the ZDERA Sanctions Bill for another twelve months. Donald Trump reiterates that 'Zimbabwe poses an extra-ordinary threat to American foreign policy'. Its a whole topic for another day.Lets talk about the proposed Zimbabwe National Dialogue. Many a times people hear or talk about National dialogue. But most are confused what is it about and whether or not Zimbabwe really needs the dialogue. I will try to dissect this highly emotive topic of dialogue in Zimbabwe. What situations should prevail in a nation for its people to sit down and dialogue ? Is Zimbabwe indeed in such situation as to necessitate a round table of its citizens ? It is an undeniable fact that Zimbabwe, just like any other natio...
