Enter Julius Malema : G40 Game plan unravelled

 By Hosia Mviringi

Saturday, 28 September 2019

The vanguishing and banishment of the famous and suppossedly powerful clique in Zimbabwean politics, the G40 through the November 2017 "Operation Restore Legacy" has left the ordinary folk with more questions than answers. The major question is whether the G40 is indeed finished or not? If not, what is their game plan?
What happened to their ambition to form the next government of Zimbabwe? What is the message from their loud silence?

Most of the above questions could not be sufficiently answered until the death of former President Robert Mugabe on 6 September 2019 in Singapore. All signs were pointing to a serene and respectable funeral wake for the liberation icon and pan-Africanist. Leaders and former leaders of the world came and went away without the official burial of the icon. Controversies have surrounded the late former President's funeral culminating in some concerted negotiations between his family and the State on the most appropriate burial place. Parties agreed to have a mausoleum erected on the hill top at the National Heroes Acre for his burial.

Enters Julius Malema

Julius Malema is a leader of an opposition party in South Africa, the EFF. He has almost carved himself a place in African books as one fiery pan-Africanist who was fast moulding himself in the likeness of such luminaries as Julius Nyerere , Patrice Lumumba, Robert Mugabe and others.

But alas, puppetry is fast catching up with him or has he been hijacked by our once mighty G40?

He hosted the Farewell Convention in South Africa for former Zimbabwean Leader where he invited as guests the fugitive G40 architects in form of Savior Kasukuwere and Patrick Zhuwao. These were given a prime slot to speak at length about the history of Cde Mugabe . It is at this function that the true intentions of the G40 became  very clear. Those who doubt the G40's resolve to rule this country better wake up and smell the coffee. This is truth to power. The G40 has never at any point looked back on their ambition to rule Zimbabwe. Instead, what they did was to regroup from somewhere outside the shores of motherland Zimbabwe and in the process, they mastered the art of secret diplomacy. They have entered a number of  Capitals around Africa where they have sold their grievances sometimes eliciting sympathy.

This Diplomatic whirlwind has been done on the back and promises of working with Nelson Chamisa.Of course non of them is saleable out there thus it will be understandable that they will ride on Chamisa's back. Lets remind each other- here that Chamisa has always been Bob's child having been nurtured at Gushungo holdings where his and Charlton Hwende's trucking business has been contracted and flourished for who knows how long?

The purported diplomatic effort by the G40 has been specifically targeted at recruiting and rallying regional opposition parties against former Liberation parties which are in power and rather viewed as a stumbing block in most of SADC States. ZANU PF has specifically been targeted as it stands out as a torch bearer in resistence and because of its influential push for economic empowerment.

One of these engagements culminated in Jonathan Moyo meeting with Nelson Chamisa in Johannesburg on 25 September 2019. It was at this meeting that Jonathan Moyo officially assumed the role of advisor to the immature opposition leader.

Most notable is the fact that this quiet regional diplomatic onslaught and lobbying by the G40 found a ready taker in the  South African opposition EFF whose leader Julius Malema seized the opportunity on the occassion of the death of Robert Mugabe to convene a mini Congress for the scattered G40 elements disguised as a memorial for the former Zimbabwean strongman.

This memorial marked the rekindling of the dreaded power games in Zimbabwean politics. Malema as a shrewd politician quickly latched the opportunity to be the broker and conveyor of messages between the exiled group of G40 planners and schemers , and the God mother at the Blue roof mansion , and the young leader of the biggest opposition party in Zimbabwe, Nelson Chamisa. Malema is standing in here as a bishop to solemnise a rather nocturnal marriage of convinience between the G40 and the MDC party. These two parties have absolutely nothing in common but have been united by the mere fact of being in the same common circumstantial debacle. The MDC and Nelson Chamisa in particular is being used as a mere trojan horse whose rider is non other the G40.

Nelson Chamisa has the people on the ground but rather not enough to rule while Grace Mugabe nee Marufu has got all the money that Nelson Chamisa needs. He needs the money desperately to finish building his mansion in the lush Sandton suburb in South Africa. We all know that his party has suffered from donor fatigue since the run off period  to the 2018 elections when Mugabe himself had to chip in to save the project. We would understand why Chamisa would have no choice but to join in.

If anyone has to be very afraid it is the most loyal and ardent MDC supporters. The MDC project has indeed been hijacked.Soon you shall witness a rebranding of the party to reflect the G40 presence and influence.

So why is this information important to the people of Zimbabwe ?

The first thing to know is that indeed Grace Mugabe is back into Zimbabwean politics, this time with a deafening loud bang. In this episode we see the regrouping and possible re-entry into Zimbabwean Politics by one of the most dangerous and ruthless clique that is sponsored by the dirty George Soros  Imperial and regime change funding. This worldwide fund is specifically designed and meant for destabilization efforts in selected countries , and Zimbabwe happens to be on the radar of the fund.
I hope you will understand what it means. Woe to the targeted nations !

So the G40 chose the most opportune but very delicate period of mourning for the funeral of Robert Mugabe to re-assert themselves by meticulously manipulating government and leading to an epic embarrassment of having to abandon a mausoleum half way at the top of the hill. They have shifted goal posts several times much to the surprise of many observers.

The funeral of Robert Mugabe has been reduced to a mere circus such that the world has stopped to care anymore.
All this because of power games and the existence of some imagined or real scores to settle by Grace Mugabe's handlers and advisors who happen to be the exiled trio of Jonathan Moyo , Patrick Zhuwao and Saviour Kasukuwere.

 The Julius Malema effect

It was not accidental that Julius Malema sneaked into the country while the President Cde ED Mnangagwa is away at the UN General Assembly in New York. Doors and gates at Blue roof swung wide open as Juju was welcomed. A lengthy meeting with Grace ensued and thereafter a media address to some hired journalists. Julius didn't disappoint his handlers in that address. He followed the script and literally gave away his handlers.

He went to town and back rubbishing every act of benevolence by the President of this country and the nation at large in assisting the Mugabe family during their hour of need, including the decision to accord him Hero status.

Julius Malema played his role and stuck to the script in this episode.

What we have here now is a coalition of hired opposition parties out there who are under explicit instructions to make Zimbabwe an example. They will operate inwardly to try and make this country ungovernable. In the meantime, pressure will mount from  the usual outside imperial agencies such as the UN for President Mnangagwa to accommodate Nelson Chamisa in government. Apoarently this condition will be thrown at us as the carrot for re-engagement.

I mentioned before that Nelson Chamisa has just but become trojan horse in this whole game. His role is to facilitate a smooth re-entry of the G40 back into national politics, which I think is the biggest disaster we face presently. For ZANU PF, I advise the party that the honeymoon is over. Its back to the trenches.

Some will be tempted to dismiss Malema as a non entity but he represents a force which if allowed in would be difficult to manage. Mugabe has been used before to try and smuggle this clique into power but it all flaundered. We still remain to see if he will manage to make history in his grave and get these G40 remnants into power?

Forewarned is forearmed.

  1. He confuses me.
maybe he doesn't know how Mugabe and the G40 had become,.

Maybe Malema only sees the package of these cartels whos leaders captured all parastatals of Zimbabwe.

Malema is too smart to be connected to these rich momonsters of our nation.

They managed to fool Malema but God Knows. Soon he will realise what damage it will cause his reputation.

The youngest true pan African of our generation being racked by this G40

    Let's wait and see. Sad

After 23 years, UK-ZIM relations thawing

#SundayMussings  Prof. Jonathan Moyo It's International Relations 101 that a penchant for and infatuation with trivialities is not part of diplomacy, it's trivial pursuit. With this in mind, one does not have to hold a brief for anyone to understand that the coronation of King Charles III was essentially a showcase of an archaic and obnoxious tradition of hereditary rule - frowned upon in most parts of the world now under republican rule of one sort or another, while still a big deal in the United Kingdom of once upon a time, Great Britain - that dates back some 1,000 years ago. There’s therefore nothing geopolitically significant or even interesting about that primitive culture, where someone called Charles was crowned head of state by virtue of his birth at a ceremony where "His Majesty's Government" had no qualms about displaying the full repertoire of imperial loot like the stolen African Star and majestic gold from former British colonies, many of whose lead...

In defence of Lindiwe Sisulu - SA Constitution not Sacred, Judges not demi-gods

Professor Arthur Mutambara The SA Constitution is not Sacred and SA Judges are not Demigods.   By Arthur Guseni Oliver Mutambara 13 January 2022   Minister Lindiwe Sisulu penned an opinion piece on 7 January 2022 titled: ‘Hi Mzansi, have we seen justice?’  It was quite a refreshing critique of the challenges confronting South Africa.  Sisulu’s right to express herself and the content of her remarks must be vigorously defended without equivocation or ambiguity. On 8 January 2022, soon after I read the opinion piece, I publicly expressed the following remarks: ‘Wow, what a piece by Lindiwe Sisulu. I am pleasantly surprised that some in the ANC still get it and are prepared to articulate it eloquently. The issue is how to get such incisive thinking to influence the ANC and the country's direction. Is it a lost cause?’ I stand by these utterances. There has been quite several articles and remarks attacking Minister Sisulu. The ba...
LAWYERS DEMO : DELIVERY OF JUSTICE OR PROTECTING THE CASH COW ?   By Hosia Mviringi 31 January 2019 On 29 January 2019 the nation woke up to the news that Lawyers under the banner of the Law Society of Zimbabwe was demonstrating against lack of or misdelivery of justice in the Courts in Zimbabwe. I write this article with a heavy heart knowing that my brother is a loyal member of the fraternity.I will try to be professional and speak my mind. What baffles the mind is the fact that the Lawyers are officers of the same Courts which they have served under the Law Society of Zimbabwe in defence of the accused for many years since independence. They have not seen this so called misdelivery of justice until only yesterday after the violent demonstration of the 14th of January 2019. What has changed now to warrant the demonstration by the Lawyers against the same Courts to which they have served or are serving as officers and partners ? Lets try to unpack the conundrum. Soon...
