Respect our Heroes and Heroines : CSCJF Tuesday , 13 August 2019  By Hosia Mviringi Yesterday the nation of Zimbabwe stood still to commemorate the lives of sons and daugters of the soil who gave their lives to liberate the people from the york of slavery. For some few these were lives wasted and mislived ,while to the majority of oppressed citizens it was a priceless sacrifice that culminated in the restoration of the black indigenous people's rights. Today a generation of ungrateful and selfish citizens has advertently propagated itself upon the social and political fabric of this nation.Such is a generation which has failed to appreciate the good deeds and suffering that our forefathers bore to restore our dignity and pride as a people. This is a generation that thinksand reasons by the stomach.Sad isnt it ? Zimbabwe is among a few African nations who had to wage a bloody war of liberation inorder to extricate its people from the grip of colonialism. But regreta...
Minister SB MOYO attacked in London . Friday , 12 July 2019   By Hosia Mviringi . Yes it happened. And very well so that Minister SB Moyo was attacked today at Catham House in the heart of the British Political Capital London. It is common cause that under normal circumstances and in all Diplomatic Protocols and procedures visiting foreign dignitaries are accorded befitting security by the host government. But today in london not even peace corps were seconded both to the Zimbabwean Consulate and at Catham House were Minister SB Moyo was set to make a presentation. Threats of violence by MDC activists in London have been gathering momentum some three weeks back. But still the British government did not think that it was necessary to take some contingency measures to protect a visiting dignitory. It however still remains to be confirmed if the Zimbabwean ambassodor Colonel Christian Katsande had indeed made such a request to the British authorities. If that request was...
The MDC Congress : What it means for ZANU PF Party, Government and the Nation of Zimbabwe . Saturday, 25 May 2019   By Hosia Mviringi On the 24th of May 2019 the MDC Party led by Nelson Chamisa converged at Ascot Stadium in the Midlands city of Gweru for their inaugural Ordinary Congress since the departure from natural causes of its iconic  founding President Mr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai. The background is that before he passed on Mr Morgan Tsvangirai did the unprecedented thing when he unilaterally and unconstitutionally appointed two extra Vice Presidents in addition to the 2014 Congress appointed Thokozani Khupe. This unilateral and unconstitutional appointment gave birth to Chamisa who before then was afar distant in the succession matrix of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU)-backed Party. As a result today Mr Nelson Chamisa within the MDC family represents a Child born out of Wedlock. He is a product of promiscuity. Mr Tsvangirai also made a pact w...
Does Zimbabwe really pose An Extra-Ordinary threat to American Foreign policy ?   By Hosia Mviringi Monday, 01 April 2019. On 6 March 2019 President of the United States Donald J. Trump renewed the twenty year old regime of Economic sanctions on Zimbabwe, citing Section 202(d) of the National Emergencies Act (50  U.S.C.1622 (d)). The usual reason was that 'Zimbabwe had not done enough reforms and she still poses an extra-ordinary threat to  American Foreign Policy and interests'. How did it all begin? Lets try to answer a few questions... Is American the true champion of Democracy , human rights and rule of law? Does the American government really care about black lives? ¶ Do Zimbabweans need a whole Sanctions bill called ZDERA to protect them from themselves ? ¶ Is it about safeguarding African democracy and rule of law ? ¶ To what extent does this Sanctions benefit the American people ? ¶ Has Zimbabwe conducted the worst elections world over since the t...
US bars entry to International Criminal Court ( ICC ) investigators   By MATTHEW LEE  15 March 2019   Adapted Article The United States will revoke or deny visas to International Criminal Court personnel seeking to investigate alleged war crimes and other abuses committed by U.S. forces in Afghanistan or elsewhere, and may do the same with those who seek action against Israel, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Friday. Pompeo, acting on a threat delivered in September by U.S. national security adviser John Bolton, framed the action as necessary to prevent the international body from infringing on U.S. sovereignty by prosecuting American forces or allies for torture or other war crimes. “We are determined to protect the American and allied military and civilian personnel from living in fear of unjust prosecution for actions taken to defend our great nation,” Pompeo said. U.S. officials have long regarded the Netherlands-based ICC with hostility, a...
Fuel Sector Liberalization : What it means to the Ordinary man .  By Hosia Mviringi Wednesday, 13 March 2019. Liberalization of the Fuel sector in particular and the energy sector at large is a major milestone in opening up the Investment environment in Zimbabwe. This is in keeping with the government's pledge to move away from a regulated( controlled ) to a free economy where government ceases to be both player and regulator in industry. This follows hot on  the heels of another milestone in the monetary policy system which saw government floating the exchange rate of the local unit to a near match with parallel market rates. Now the country has a truly free floating currency and a subsequent free economy. For starters this will encourage investment into the economy. If one looks closely, historically Zimbabwe had lagged behind in terms of its share of Foreign Direct Investment inflows  regionwide. The reason is that the country was still practicing primitive eco...

Mugabe Trusts me more : Chamisa

MUGABE TRUSTS ME MORE: CHAMISA Staff Reporter. Sunday, 10 March 2019 In a shocking revelation at a rally in Mutare yesterday, MDC Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa told supporters that he has been working with former Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe from last year to remove President Mnangagwa from power. Confirming a rumour that has been doing the rounds in Zimbabwe for over a year about the nature of his secret relationship between the former first family and G40, Chamisa shocked thousands of supporters at Chisamba Grounds in Sakubva when he revealed that Mugabe had long abandoned Zanu-Pf and was now working with him against Mnangagwa. "Mugabe discovered a long time ago that Zanu-Pf was dead, that is why he put his trust in my candidacy during last year's elections. Unfortunately Mnangagwa thought he was clever and stole the election," said Chamisa to a thunderous applause from a crowd of about 3 000 supporters who had gathered for the rally. "If you see a...
